ED7604 2021 (T1+T2) Applied Research project in ELT (OC)

The applied research project (formerly known as 'Dissertation) is a central component of the MA. Writing your dissertation is your chance to research a topic of your choosing with the guidance of a supervisor; often, indeed, this is what motivates students to take up graduate study in the first place and, in some cases, to carry on to do a PhD. At 14,000 words, the dissertation represents a substantial piece of writing, requiring careful planning and research, and considerable determination to stick to a carefully worked out timetable. Although demanding in its own right, the dissertation marks the culmination of your MA and, as such, it is a very rewarding experience.
